Parade Rules & Regulations must be below 5MB to be submitted. Proof of insurance for vehicles must be below 20MB to apply. Please contact our parade entry coordinator if our documents exceeds these limitations at [email protected]
If you plan to have a motorized vehicle in the parade, you will be required to upload proof of vehicle insurance during the application process. Please have this ready in a JPG, GIF, PNG or PDF format.

1. Floats must be self-propelled and entirely decorated. No part of the pulling vehicle on which the float is built may be visible to the judges or spectators. Flatbed trucks do not qualify as floats.
2. All drivers of floats must be 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license. Drivers (or a float representative) must remain with their floats from arrival to assembly to parade dispersal.
3. Floats MUST provide float driver name and mobile phone/contact number for day of event, and float measurements on the application.
4. Floats must have tow hitches front and rear, easily accessible and sufficient to tow the float.
5. Basic Float Dimensions: 16’ wide; maximum13’6” tall; 75’ long. minimum ground clearance: 10”.
6. Floats must comply with all safety requirements and will be inspected by the Super Unit Marshal.
Any float not meeting safety requirements will not be judged or allowed in the parade.
Drill Teams, Bands, Cultural Organizations, Dance, Drumlines, Other Walking Groups
1. Marching Units/Walking Groups, with the exception of Marching Bands, must be limited to 50 people or less.
2. Everett July Fourth Foundation is not responsible for travel, food or lodging expenses; or for loss or damage to personal items. 3. All marching units must be in FULL uniform or costume. No out-of-uniform marchers will be allowed.
4. No participants under 12 will be allowed to march in the parade without written permission from Everett July Fourth Foundation.
5. All marching units MUST maintain a forward motion. Routines, which require stopping or reverse motion, are not require permission from Everett July Fourth Foundation. Failure to comply will jeopardize future invitations to the parade.
6. If for any reason a gap of 50 feet or more is created, marching units must increase their pace or not perform until the gap is closed. Parade pace is approximately 2.5 mph
1. Equestrian Parade units comprised of riders under 17 years of age must be accompanied by riders who are 18 years or older.
2. Any rider showing inability to control his/her animal will be deemed unsafe at the discretion of the Parade Marshals and will be removed from the parade line-up.
3. Each equestrian entry must provide its own clean-up unit upon arrival and at the assembly area AND is responsible for cleaning its respective area in the assembly area, on route and at dispersal areas. Any entry without a clean-up unit will not be allowed on the parade route. One clean-up unit per ten (10) horses is required.
Anyone can participate in the parade, including marching bands, neighborhood associations, and other community groups.

All community focused non-profits that are apolitical/non-political are free to enter the parade.
Business parade entries $50.00 per entity.Entry fees for political entries is $250 per entry. Entities or participants in the parade that represent or advocate a specific interest in political or legislative matters, or a campaign for public office, are considered a political entry. As a rule thumb, 501c4 or 501c3 nonprofits where lobbying is a substantial part of their activities would be considered political.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own float or vehicle to be part of the parade. Please ensure it meets safety regulations and guidelines.
Yes, all participants must adhere to specific rules and guidelines outlined by the Everett July Fourth Foundation event organizers for a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
No, there may be awards or recognition given to outstanding participants in various categories at the end of the parade. It is being planned for future parades

Candy may be passed out (not thrown) by NON-Motorized entrants only. You must have
separate givers for each side of the street.
We are a lively volunteer organization, buzzing with enthusiastic individuals from an array of diverse backgrounds! These dedicated volunteers donate their precious time throughout the year and on the famed 4th of July to bring you incredible parade that pull crowds to Everett each year. We're responsible for all these fantastic happenings you eagerly attend annually! However, this is no easy feat! We need your support too. Even when fireworks of the 4th of July have danced in the sky and faded, your assistance can make a difference. There's an abundance of ways you can contribute after our vibrant festivities have closed out!
We need volunteers. You can help in many ways. Before the 4th, we need help with event planning, organization, and fundraising. We also need help on the 4th from 7 AM to 1 PM.
